HOW DID YOUR BRAND COME TO BE? | |
| Completely by accident, to be honest. I’ve always considered myself to be somewhat artistic or creative. But, jewelry making was never on my radar. Not until I needed to match earrings with a necklace my husband had given me. I searched everywhere but just couldn’t find anything I liked. My last resort was a local bead shop. I walked in thinking they might have a pair already made. Instead of something pre-made, they showed me how to make earrings that were custom and a perfect match. From that point on, I was hooked. Eventually Bella Rose Jewelry Design was came to be. | |

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS? I got my license in 2011 but I’d been fooling around with jewelry making since 2009. I never really thought of selling my pieces. I just don’t think I had the confidence to put myself out there. The owner of the bead shop where I made my first pair, offered to host a show for me. That’s when I applied for my license. I slowly made my way into the art show circuit. I no longer participate in art shows but I will do small events, which are far more lucrative, at least for me. | |
HOW HAS YOUR BUSINESS CHANGED SINCE JOINING TAG? | |
| In all honesty, I haven’t increased sales by joining TAG but I’ve had some amazing opportunities. Opportunities I never would have had otherwise. I’ve had incredible feedback from costume designers as well as a few actresses who’ve worn my jewelry on TV. Plus, being a member of TAG has and does give me nice bragging rights. | |

| WHAT IS ONE SMALL WIN YOU HAVE HAD RECENTLY THAT DESERVES CELEBRATING? | |
| I’ve actually had two occasions recently that I consider pretty big/exciting. Both were from costume designers. One CD sent me an email letting me know that although she couldn’t use the earrings I had sent in, she was going to use them on an upcoming project. She wants me to contact her next month. My second was from a CD who had used a necklace in a Netflix show. She thanked me and said she hoped to purchase pieces from me in the future for projects she might have. | |
